Police forces in the Peel Region responded to more than 17,000 incidents of family and intimate partner violence in the year of 2021. 78% of victims from reported crimes were woman. However, reporting of such incidents remains at low. Peel was left with an urgent need to reach and inform the public about ways to recognize signs and speak out.

Peel approached Chameleon Digital Media with the objective of utilizing digital marketing to help raise awareness about the resources available on there website.

Thanks to Chameleon’s capabilities at the end of the 3 month campaign over 120,000 unique individuals were exposed to the “Start a Conversation” message. With close to 8,000 clicks. Peel Region saw a 250% increase in web traffic to the available resource pages, year over year; with visitors staying on the page longer and engaging with content more often.
